The latest announcement comes with a number of impressive intersections and the discovery of a new zone (Bobcat) that already has a 3.3m interval at 42.4g/t Au from 11m depth highlight to its name.
The standout drill holes this time came from the Underdog, Drake, Zone 27 and Caribou zones at Windfall Lake, with the most impressive being an 8.9m intercept from Underdog averaging 56.1g/t Au from 1,064.1m depth.
The 800,000m programme the assays come from combines definition, expansion and exploratory drilling in and around the main Windfall gold deposit and adjacent Lynx deposit.
Osisko plans to update the existing 1.6 million ounce grading 8g/t indicated and inferred resource at Windfall Lake twice this year.
The first update, based on 400,000m of drilling, is expected to come out early this year. This is likely to be followed up by another later in 2018 as the company builds towards an economic study showing the potential mining proportions of the project.
