Atex to make Valeriano Chile's next big porphyry

With long mineralised intersections into a deep porphyry copper deposit in Chile’s high Andes, explorer ATEX Resources is looking at emulating the success at Valeriano in the Atacama region that Filo Mining has some 100km to the north at Filo del Sol in San Juan, Argentina. The prospect has won the support of mining entrepreneur Pierre Lassonde, which could be key to the company raising a considerable amount later this year to give bean to its drilling programme, chief executive Raymond Jannas told Mining Journal.
