Plant construction was completed in April, with the conveyors, pumps, thickener, two mills and two jigs commissioned over the past month.

W Resources said the plant took ore crushed to less than 10mm and increased the grade to be fed to the concentrator plant, achieving high tungsten and tin metal recoveries.

Chairman Michael Masterman pointed out the commissioning of the plant had not merely been a turn of a key process.

"In the jig and mill plant alone there are two jigs, two roll mills, a thickener, reject disposal system, ten screens and feeders, nine conveyors, five pumps, and over 50 motors which need to be started, aligned and tied into an integrated control system," he said.

For now, the jigged mine feed will be fed through the existing concentrator plant, with the new large-scale concentrator plant still being built. Construction is expected to be completed in June, with commissioning due to take place in July.

Masterman said La Parrilla was on track to ramp-up to design production capacity of 200 tonnes per month by the end of 2019.

W Resources shares (AIM:WRES) rose 2.36% Tuesday to 0.46p (US0.58c), down from 0.54p at the start of January.
