In Australia, Syrah Resources was one of the larger stocks to lose ground, falling almost 3% but this was really a softening of last week's one-year high in the lead-up to first production of bagged saleable flake graphite from its Balama project in Mozambique.
Northern Star Resources (AU:NST) reached a fresh one-year high of $5.87 with a slight 0.17% gain.
