Mining Journal Top 100 Miners: The more things change …

Former Codelco CEO Nelson Pizarro Contador said two years ago that “mining will be a good business for those who know how to change with the times”. And he may be right. But as Mining Journal’s latest listing of the world’s top 100 miners reminds us, change at the top hasn’t been a feature of the industry for a long time and the vanguard is entrenched precisely because it hasn’t tinkered too much with a winning formula built on quality reserves of the right minerals, generally in the right parts of the planet.
