Authorities push back on Titiribi ban bid

The town of Titiribi is set to become the next municipality in southeast Antioquia, Colombia to look to ban precious metal mining after the town council voted to seek a prohibition. Nearby towns of Jericó, Támesis and Urrao have taken similar decisions in recent months, all of which have exploration projects with the potential to be significant mines.
