Arauz to face Perez in Ecuador presidential run-off

Ecuador’s presidential election will see an April 11 run-off between centre-left Andres Arauz, the protege of former president Raphael Correa, who won with 31.5%, and Yaku Perez, who has built a platform representing indigenous interests against mining, with 20.04%. Candidates needed 40% of the vote to win outright.
