"Attendance … totalled 25,606 — a clear sign that the mineral exploration and mining industry has regained its swagger and is building momentum," PDAC said.
As the boom peaked, delegates numbered above 30,000 in both 2012 and 2013, dropping to about 22,000 in 2016 and exceeding 24,000 last year.
The 2018 four-day event, which concluded last night, was full of energy and excitement for the year ahead, according to PDAC president Glenn Mullan.
"After experiencing several years of economic challenges, today the mineral exploration and mining industry is experiencing a renaissance and renewed sense of confidence," he said.
