Among the highlights, Maya intersected 2m at 2.419kg/t silver within a broader 38m at 186g/t silver from 1.5m in the northern sector.
The above intercept is the latest in a series of high-grade hits measuring in the kilograms per tonne.
"Since these results are similar to the eastern sector reported on September 6th 2017, a scenario for a long-term, larger mine operation is being considered, while maintaining the development of the high grade operations," president and CEO Noureddine Mokaddem said.
The company is continuing to ramp up operations at Zgounder, which produced 279,548 ounces in the six months to June 30, a 4.34% increase on the first half of 2016.
Maya owns 85% of the project in a joint venture with the Kingdom of Morocco.
Shares in the company neared C$0.37 intraday but closed down more than 4% at $0.335.
