"Results reported today include many intervals with ounce to multi-ounce gold intersections, including some in areas not previously identified as high-grade such as north of Midfield, west of Striker and near-surface between Midfield and Striker," president and CEO Peter Akerley said.
The company's first drill hole at the project two years ago returned 7 metres at 27g/t from 14m.
Erdene has drilled 24,376m at Bayan Khundii so far this year and drilling is continuing with more results expected in January as it works to establish a resource estimate in mid-2018.
It has also received high grade results from exploration at a newly discovered area 3.2km north-east of Bayan Khundii, Khundii North, where rock chip sampling this quarter has returned up to 22g/t gold.
Shared in the company were down slightly at C54c yesterday, near the lower end of its 52-week range of 43c-$1.40.
