It said it had confidence in the continuity and scale of the mineralising system at Dorothe, as the trenching programme had confirmed the extension of mineralisation below cover and the continuity of anomalous intervals between previously reported wider spaced trenches.

The high-grade results received for the second phase of trenching were 4m at 18.77g/t gold, including 2m at 36.2g/t from the main vein); 32m at 2.02g/t gold, including 18m at 3.22g/t; and 12m at 2.53g/t gold, including 6m at 4.1g/t and 2m at 6.14g/t.

IronRidge said the results had defined five large, coherent gold targets over 500m to 1.2km strike length and 100-200m widths from trenching, with targets still open along strike.

It had also interpreted two dominant settings from improved geological understanding - a steeply east dipping main vein target ad a shallow west dipping sheeted vein target.

The company has so far completed 9,360m of trenching, of which 8,984m has been sent for assay at the laboratory during the 2017-2018 field season, with the results coming from 6,608m.

The company still has further results pending for 2,376m of trenching completed to the west of the main vein swarm and the remainder of trench 29.

IronRidge chief geologist Len Kolff said the results had been highly encouraging, as they demonstrated the continuity and scale of the target zones.

"Detailed trench logging has enhanced our understanding of structural, lithological and vein type controls on mineralisation; providing further encouragement that we are dealing with a potentially large mineralised system," he said.

IronRidge plans to restart work in October, with a ground geophysics induced polarisation (IP) survey planned over Dorothe in November to further define drilling targets at depth in conjunction with surface trenching results.

Kolff said the IP survey was "designed to detect disseminated sulphides potentially associated with gold mineralisation at depth and highlight potential structural corridors along which mineralisation occurs".

"This will provide an additional control on target definition prior to drilling programme design whilst testing for down-dip extensions of the surface mineralised footprints defined," he said.
