Reverse circulation (RC) and diamond drilling found four new holes with elevated copper grades between 0.5% and 1%.

It said the highlights of the new results were 128m at 0.74% copper equivalent from surface, including 10m at 0.5% copper and 0.22% cobalt for 2.7% CuEq and 19m @ 0.58% Cu; 75m at 0.85% CuEq from surface, and 59.5m at 0.87% CuEq from 2.8m, including 23m 0.54% Cu and 0.10% Co for 1.57% Cu eq.

So far, the company has drilled 25 diamond holes for 2,750m and 21 RC holes for 1,900m with all holes intersecting mineralisation with good thickness.

Arc executive chairman Nick von Schirnding said the latest results demonstrated elevated copper intersections and all drilling to date showed the source and migration of the mineralising fluids had been quite extensive.

He said a large number of samples were being sent to the lab, with further results expected soon.

The overall drilling programme aims to show large scale potential at Kalaba and includes a total 4,400m of diamond and 6,600m of RC drilling.

Arc's shares gained 0.65% Tuesday morning to 3.9p (US5.14c).
