The numbers have come back for three holes at the site in Mali at the Boumou prospect, showing more pockets of pegmatite within the mineralised zone.
The 160m hole KLDH010 demonstrated the layered nature of the veins, picking up two 6.5m zones at 1.18% Li2O and 1.42% Li2O and 1m at 2.07%.
The two other holes' best areas were 2.5m at 1.38% Li2O and 1.5m at 1.88% Li2O.
Kodal already has a resource for Boumou of 2.2 million tonnes at 1.04% Li2O.
CEO Bernard Aylward said the current programme also aimed to also extend the deposit.
"We are continuing to drill at this prospect to define the pegmatite zones as well as extending the mineralisation," he said.
"Our drill programme is an important part of our plans for development of the Bougouni project, and along with the recent appointment of our Project Manager, we are continuing to fast-track the mining development."
Kodal's shares were up 3% on the news, to 0.16p (US0.21c).
