nderground Underground drillins continues to show Platosa high-grade

"Our underground drilling over the past two years has improved the definition and quality of tonnes within the resource," said SVP geology Ben Pullinger.

Platosa has a July 2018 indicated mineral resource estimate of 485,000 tonnes grading 1,055g/t silver equivalent (Ag-eq) representing 16.5M ounces.

Despite being one of Mexico's highest grade silver mining operations, Excellon struggled to deliver on its potential in 2018 due to mine surveying and planning problems in the third quarter. The company plans to issue production guidance for 2019 during the week starting January 14.
