The drilling was completed in November and December 2018.

At Sogola-Baoule, the results returned further wide, high-grade mineralisation, with intersections including 31m at 1.33% Li2O from 85m; 27m at 1.06% Li2O from 92m; 30m at 1.06% Li2O from 210m and 10m at 1.78% Li2O from 255m.

Financial advisor and broker SP Angel said the drilling had targeted the north-eastern and depth extension and the results had indicated multiple parallel pegmatite veins and continuity of the thickened pegmatite zone.

At the Boumou prospect, RC drilling returned additional mineralised intersections including 11m at 1.32% Li2O from 114m and 11m at 1.03% Li2O from 128m.

Previous results had also returned high-grade mineralisation confirming geological interpretation.

CEO Bernard Aylward said the final assay results highlighted the continuity and width of the pegmatite mineralisation at the Sogola-Baoule and Boumou prospects.

"Kodal is continuing the fast track development of the Bougouni lithium project and has recently met with both the Mali Minister of Mines and delegation to provide an update on the project. The first step is to complete the update of the JORC mineral resource as this will be utilised for the future mine design and scheduling," he said.

Kodal is on track to release a mineral resource estimate by the end of February, with the assay results to be incorporated into the geological and mineralisation model to update the resource.

The company is also finalising the metallurgical test work and the engineering design of the project's proposed processing plant.
