The SIA looked at the direct and indirect impact of onshore mining and processing at Dundas to produce 440,000 tonnes per annum of ilmenite.

It found that Dundas would likely have a net positive impact on local communities, providing employment opportunities and economic development.

As a result, substantial public support was seen across the Qaanaaq region, as well as throughout Greenland with national stakeholders.

CEO Roderick McIllree said the SIA was another step towards mine development, with the company happy with the positive findings.

"Dundas is expected to create a new sustainable workplace in an area of Greenland that currently has few job opportunities," he said.

"Dundas, with its simple mining and processing route, should provide meaningful social benefits and further raise awareness and experience levels for the emerging mining sector in Greenland."

This submission and the previous environmental impact assessment means Bluejay has completed two core steps in Dundas' exploitation permitting process, with its focus now on completing the mineral reserve, mine plan and impact benefit agreement.

Bluejay's shares (AIM:JAY) were up 4.22% Friday at 11.46p (US0.81c).
