Rupert said a headline intersection of 4.2g/t Au over 167 metres from 213m, including 8.9g/t over 22m, confirmed the widths of more than 100m seen in western sections of the high grade prospect extend eastwards at even higher grades.
The latest results triggered another surge in interest in the TSX-listed player, with the company's shares jumping 35% from C$4 at Wednesday's close to $5.40 at the end of Thursday's session.
The TSX-listed player has assays from 17 holes pending, with three rigs now turning at Ikkari.
Ikkari is among the drilling targets Rupert has identified west of the former Pahtavaara underground mine.
The Canadian-listed junior described Area 1, where Ikkari is located, as a "5km-long highly prospective section of a regional domain-bounding structure, 20km of which is contained within Rupert's contiguous land holding".
