Apollo continues on the road to more gold resources at Lake Rebecca

A multi-rig campaign has delivered a slew of new results, including "step down" hits of 8m at 7.8 grams per tonne gold and 2m at 13.7gpt gold.

Lake Rebecca features the Rebecca mineral resource estimate of 29.1 million tonnes grading 1.2gpt gold for 1.1 million oz, with ongoing results "expected to add more near-surface material at a higher average grade".

Apollo further said Rebecca has a "consistent (plus) 1000 ounce per vertical metre endowment, ranging to (plus) 4000oz/vm in places".

"Apollo sees a strong probability of metal endowment being maintained as exploration pushes beyond the limits of existing drilling," the company said.

Apollo had A$37.2 million cash in April.

Shares in Apollo were down 3% to 29c in early trade, capitalising the company at $84.5 million.
