What made this specific claim special was the fact Idaho's first governor George Shoup was among a group of individuals that first staked the claim in 1887. Arnett adjoins Revival's flagship Beartrack project, where drilling has already started.
Revival plans to drill about 1,000m over seven holes, lifting the number of drill rigs deployed to the Arnett-Beartrack area to three.
According to Revival, Arnett has seen widespread placer mining as well as small-scale lode mining at the Haidee and Italian Mine prospects. Known mineralisation at Arnett occurs in two sub-parallel trends, each measuring over 4km in length.
In 2017 Revival completed a selective rock sampling programme from dumps, float and sparse outcrop across Arnett. Of the 107 samples collected, 37 returned gold values exceeding 1 gram per tonne gold.
Drilling would be integrated with 11 core holes previously drilled by Meridian Gold in 1997. Drilling was intended to confirm the continuity and tenor of mineralisation at Haidee over about 300m of strike, Revival said.
Arnett hosted a historic indicated resource of 10.9 million tonnes grading 0.93gpt gold, for about 327,000oz of gold.
About a year ago, Revival submitted a plan of operations to the US Forest Service to drill from 52 pad locations at Arnett. Should the permit come through before year-end, Revival would expand drilling from the Haidee patented claim onto unpatented ground, and to other targets on the property.
