Konstantin Kornienko has experience of working at the company's Asacha operation

He takes over from Mikhail Nikitin, who led the development and commissioning of the flagship Asacha gold mine in Far East Russia.

Kornienko was most recently responsible for the gold processing plant at Asacha, a role he has held since 2011.

He was previously involved in building and operating gold processing plants at Polyus' (RM:PLZL) Pervenets-Verninskoe, GV Gold's Vysochaishy and Kinross Gold's (CN:K) Severnoe Zoloto.
