Taylor's most recent focus has been on assisting small-cap listed companies with their development, and he has also spent time working in private equity-backed portfolio companies, driving operational turnaround initiatives and implementing costing systems.

He is a non-executive director of Two Shields Investments, Bidstack Group and Sabien Technology Group.

Taylor spent more than 20 years in the Army Air Corps, leaving in 2015 with the rank of lieutenant colonel. For his final two years he was spokesperson and media adviser to the UK Ministry of Defence.

Pathfinder is looking to increase its number of non-executive directors as it moves closer to settling all current and pending legal disputes related to its mining concession in Mozambique.
