"It is a testament to the quality and size of the project that we have attracted two key senior individuals and we will leverage their expertise as we unlock the value of the Tatogga property," former Randgold Resources exploration boss Harbidge said.

Skead will lead further geological, metallurgical, technical and economic evaluations of Saddle North, including work with lead engineering consultant, Ausenco Engineering. The veteran geologist, who has more than 30 years of experience in the industry, was most recently director of geoscience at Newmont Goldcorp.

Campbell, who starts at GT Gold on November 1, will use his 15 years of industry experience to develop the company's capital markets strategy and will also manage investor relations. He was recently head of IR at Goldcorp.

GT acting CFO Paul Kania is departing but will remain until the end of the year to assist with transitioning the role.

Meanwhile, James Rutherford and Adrian Reynolds are new independent non-executive directors on GT Gold's board, with Rutherford chairing the audit committee. Rutherford is said to add further capital markets expertise with his 25 years in investment banking and management, and Reynolds broadens feasibility study, audit and compliance geological experience on the board. His plus-30 years in the industry included more than 15 years at Randgold.

Taj Singh and Charles Greig have exited GT's board but the latter continues as the company's VP exploration.
