Samora became Hexagon Mining's first president when the business was formed followed the 2014 acquisition of US-based mining software firm Mintec. It's not known where the Brazil-born mechanical engineer is going.
Hexagon said Weiss had been central to the company's growth since joining the business early in 2015. He was also VP of operations. Weiss has a BA in finance from Ohio State University and an MBA from Loyola University Chicago.
"Hexagon Mining is in a unique position to help mines achieve their digital strategy," said Weiss. "No other company can match our technology portfolio and I am really excited to share our story of smart change with customers and the industry."
