Burkina Faso approves Roxgold's Bagassi South mining decree

Project completion now at 55%

The development serves as the final legal approval required to operate a mine in the West Africa jurisdiction, satisfies the final legislative hurdle, and legally de-risks the project.

The project, for which construction started early this year, will give Roxgold a second high-grade operation, just 1.8km from its Yaramoko mill.

Bagassi South project construction is currently 55% complete. Progress continues on schedule and budget, with first ore from expected for processing at the completed mill expansion late in the fourth quarter.

The mill is being upgraded from 750 tonnes per day to 1,100tpd, and is also progressing on schedule. When complete, it will play a critical role in pushing annual Yaramoko output up 40% to 160,000oz in 2019.
