The drill hole intersected the targeted Underdog and Triple 8 zones and wide anomalous gold zones similar to those observed near the Triple 8, Triple Lynx and Lynx zones.
Drilling highlights include 191m grading 1.04 grams per tonne gold which begins at 3,139, down hole within a breccia textured interval with an increased intensity of carbonate alteration in fracture filling.
"Discovery 1 has been a great success for Osisko. We are very pleased to have intersected the down plunge extensions of known zones, especially Underdog. This 500m extension provides us with a high potential zone ready for infill drilling to continue to grow our world class deposit. The wide zones of anomalous gold interspersed with high-grade intervals throughout the bottom half of the hole are a strong indication the Windfall gold system is extensive," said president and CEO John Burzynski.
Windfall hosts a February 2020 mineral resource estimate of 4.1 million tonnes grading 9.1g/t for 1.2Moz in the indicated category and 14.5Mt grading 8.4g/t for 3.9Moz of inferred.
Shares in Osisko Mining are trading at C$4.02, valuing the company at $1.2 billion.
