Former Goldcorp president and CEO David Garofalo is the company's new chair and Rob Henderson has been appointed president and CEO. Henderson is a professional engineer and was until the end of 2019 president and CEO of copper producer Amerigo Resources.
In addition to Garofalo, Joseph Gallucci, MD and head of mining investment banking at Laurentian Bank Securities, and Alan Hair, former president and CEO of Hudbay Mining, have joined the board with Jeffrey Mason stepping down as chair and interim president and CEO. Company co-founder Bob Archer will remain on the board until the upcoming AGM in June and will then step down.
The company also appointed Meghan Brown as VP investor relations. Brown was VP investor relations with Leagold until the recent completion of the Equinox Gold-Leagold Mining merger.
Shares in Great Panther Mining are trading at C64c, valuing the company at $200 million.
