Barrick sees dip in 2022 gold output, copper costs surge

Barrick Gold posted a third straight year of lower gold production last year to 4.14Moz while copper met guidance at 440M lb, preliminary production results released by the firm show. Copper costs surged quarter-on-quarter in Q4, mainly on the back of lower grades at the firm’s Lumwana operation in Zambia.
