US reclamation regs to hit miner cash

Proposed financial responsibility regulations that are due to come into effect in December would result in miners having to tie-up significant amounts of cash or credit notes in escrow, Dr Graham Davis, professor of mineral economics at the Colorado School of Mines, told delegates during his keynote speech at the SME 5th Current Trends in Mining Finance conference in New York.
