Without wanting to detract from South Africa’s superb rugby victory against England on Saturday, the investor perception of SA as a mining jurisdiction remains largely negative. It’s not the only factor that has driven the autumn shares sell-off of SA-focused juniors and developers listed in London, but it’s a factor that must be taken into account.
