Gill Marcus appointed an independent non-executive director

She previously served as governor of the South African Reserve Bank from 2009 to 2014, after previously filling the role of deputy governor over the 1999-2004 period.

Marcus was a non-executive chairperson of the Absa Group from 2007 to 2009 and has also been a non-executive director of Gold Fields (SJ:GFI) and Bidvest (SJ:BVT).

She was elected to the South African parliament in 1994 where she chaired the joint standing committee on finance and became deputy minister of finance in 1996.
