Danakali promotes CCO to CEO

CCO Niels Wage picked for top job after "global search"

He joined Danakali in June 2018 after a number of years at BHP, where he held senior management roles, including vice president potash, VP freight and VP diamonds.

Prior to his time at BHP, Wage held trading and logistics positions at Cargill and Vopak.

He has been on the boards of joint ventures between Japanese firms K-line, Daiichi and JFE Steel and BHP, the International Plant Nutrition Institute and RightShip. 

Danakali executive chairman Seamus Cornelius said Wage was starting as CEO at an "exciting and critical time" for the company, with project funding well progressed and project execution set to commence.
