The mining consultancy and advisory group has appointed Broadfoot as CEO as it looks to further expand its service offering.
Broadfoot has an impressive CV, having worked at Anglo American (LN:AAL), Rio Tinto (LN:RIO) and New York-based corporate advisory firm EAS Capital Advisory.
He was also co-founder and CEO of mining services provider Salva Resources, a company sold to US engineering firm HDR where, post-acquisition, Broadfoot became manager of its global market sector.
Amy Jacobsen, chairwoman of Behre Dolbear, said Broadfoot was well versed in both the company's traditional advisory services and the needs of news clients moving into the mineral supply chain.
"Additionally, Lachlan has a genuine understanding of the skills and knowledge of our extensive associate base and the opportunities to attract additional, complementary talent," she said.
