Part of ASX-listed Sensera (ASX: SE1), nanotron said its swarm bee modules could improve Meglab Imagine mine management system's location tracking efficiency for mining equipment and people, and enhance proximity detection. Quebec-based Meglab is said to have achieved multiple deployments of Imagine at mines in the USA, Mexico and Canada since 2016.
Meglab president Louis Valade said nanotron location-aware IoT technology was light but powerful, autonomous, and it gave reliable radio coverage in harsh mining environments.
"Meglab is an expert in mining solutions, and the fact they have chosen nanotron's technology for their Imagine tracking platform is a valuable vote of confidence," nanotron CEO Dr Jens Albers said.
"nanotron is gaining incremental swarm bee module sales as a result of the cooperation with Meglab."
