On the line this week...
In 1975 he joined Glencore Xstrata's Falcondo nickel mine where he worked until 2009 in several managerial positions, including strategic business manager, communities and PR director, project manager for energy conversion, and corporate environmental director in Toronto, Canada.
He holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Tec of Monterrey, Mexico and an MBA from Santo Domingo Tec (INTEC), and also attended the Executive Management Course of Queens University in Ontario, Canada. In the academic sphere he was a professor at the chemical engineering school at Santo Domingo University (UASD) for three years.
