This public auction by Doe Run Peru entails two productive units: Cobriza Mine and La Oroya Metallurgical Complex.
Cobriza Mine is an underground, highly mechanized copper mine located southeast of Lima in the eastern range of the Peruvian Andes. Cobriza currently processes 4,300 tons per day of ore but has the potential to generate approximately 9,100 tons at full capacity. Work on the mine's concession areas, which cover 51,896 hectares, is expected to significantly boost reserve horizons.
La Oroya Metallurgical Complex is a uniquely flexible, integrated, polymetallic metallurgical facility in the central Andes that produces 17 high-quality products. The complex is comprised of four circuits: lead, zinc, copper and precious metals. This facility was specifically designed to handle ores from the region and is strategically located to benefit from on-going growth in Peruvian mining.
The productive units will be offered SEPARATELY on DIFFERENT dates in March/April 2018. If a unit is sold, subsequent auction dates will be eliminated. The schedule is as follows:
