A contractor working for Perenti subsidiary Barminco, which provides underground mining services for Hemlo, was killed in the incident on July 14.
Barrick spokeswoman Kathy du Plessis told Reuters surface operations and processing had resumed and the underground would "progressively return to full production over the coming week".
She said Barrick would provide an updated estimate for full-year production with second quarter results on August 9.
Hemlo has been operating continuously for more than 30 years and produced 47,000 ounces of gold in the March quarter.
It was forecast to produce 200,000-220,000oz this year from its underground and openpit mines, about 350km east of Thunder Bay.
