Ma'aden integral part of Vision 2030
Saudi Arabia-based miner Ma'aden plans to be at the heart of the Kingdom's next economic pillar by increasing its size 10-fold in the medium term to feed the government's Vision 2030 ambitions, according to chief executive Bob Wilt.
Wilt spoke to Mining Journal's Chris Cann about Ma'aden's expansion plans, its ability to shoulder a leading share of Saudi Arabia's downstream raw material needs, and balancing growth with its sustainability values.
Ma'aden to build into global heavyweight
Ma'aden's portfolio will take on an increasingly international flavour as it looks to rival today's mining majors, according to chief executive Bob Wilt.
Wilt spoke to Mining Journal's Chris Cann about the need to look beyond Saudi Arabia if it is to achieve its growth ambitions. He said this would include investing in assets in the ‘super region' around Saudi, but no jurisdiction anywhere in the world would be off limits.
